Agencourt Bioscience, a Beckman Coulter company, in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, recently published gene mutation discovery findings in brain and pancreatic cancers. Whole-genome scanning of tumor samples was performed using Agencourt's high-throughput Sanger sequencing pipeline marking the second stage of an ongoing collaboration that began in 2006. Agencourt also published the results of a sequencing project with the US Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute, which successfully compared 454, SOLiD and Illumina next generation sequencing of a mutant strain of Pichia stipitis, a yeast important in biofuels development.
The Agencourt RNAdvance Tissue total RNA extraction technology offers researchers a true walk-away solution for consistent recovery of high quality total RNA in a multi-well format.
The Agencourt FormaPure system provides a simple, automation-friendly process for extracting total nucleic acid from Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) tissue samples
